La Boussole

This Caisse des Dépôts-funded project, on the theme of professions for the elderly, aims to find a solution that will enable young people to move into the care of elderly professions, while limiting the drop-out rate during training.

/The context

an ageing population

People live longer : according to INSEE, by 2060, people aged over 75 will represent 17.2% of the French population, compared with 9.3% in 2020.

Social emergency: recruitment needs in the healthcare professions

Recruiting and training 350,000 people by 2025 for the personal services and medical support professions is a major challenge. The divide between young and old complicates this task, as young people show little interest in these professions and know little about them.

What we have learned

During schooling from 9th grade to career choice, there are no time for immersion in a job, difficulty forming a concrete image of the profession, little representation of professions related to old age and non-continuous support.

La Boussole is an innovative serious game specially designed to help young people in their career orientation process, including careers in old age. With this captivating game, users will have the opportunity to discover a variety of interesting professions while having fun and acquiring valuable knowledge.
